Maserati is debuting its first ever 4-seat convertible model, the GranCabrio, at the next Frankfurt International Motor Show. The Maserati GranCabrio is setting a historic point on the Italian make’s path for it had never before produced an open-top car with four seats at its plant in Modena. The GranCabrio will be marketed under the ‘GranTurismo Convertible’ trade name in a few markets, namely at the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Mexico.
While making a breaking point on Maserati’s tradition, the GranCabrio still follows the company’s long-lasting tradition in the production of convertible models. Following the introduction of the new car, the Maserati lineup is now complete with three families of models: sedan, coupe and convertible – respectively represented by the Quattroporte, the GranTurismo and the GranCabrio models.
