Toyota Auris (Japan, 2006-present)

Auris is a compact car introduced in 2007. It was positioned to compete with Volkswagen Golf, Ford Focus and Vauxhalll/Volkswagen Astra. The hatchback is available with 3 or 5 doors. In 2010, Auris’ design was facelifted. A new hybrid version was also launched, using Prius powertrains and batteries. With a lower price tag than Prius in the UK, around 1500 units were sold.
