The Citroën C4 Cactus Airflow 2LC4 Cactus Airflow 2LCitroën C4 Cactus Airflo...France, 2014 > 2014 is a concept that will make its world debut at the Paris Motor Show. The brand developed this car in order to meet the challenge from the French government to launch vehicles by 2020 with consumption below 2l/100km.

With 865kg, 100kg less than the standard Cactus, the concept is equipped with Citroën's powertrain Hybrid Air technology similar to the one used on the Peugeot 2008 Hybrid Air2008 HYbrid AirPeugeot 2008 HYbrid AirFrance, 2014 > present. This powertrain combines a three-cylinder engine 1.2-liter Puretech with 82hp, an hydraulic pump and compressed air reservoir in the rear of the car. The vehicle uses an epicyclic transmission.

In addition to the advantages of using this new hybrid technology Citroen reveals that it managed to reduce the friction of the combustion engine with a new coating and the use of low-viscosity oil.
