Another newcomer of the facelifted Cayenne range is the 3.6 V6 biturbo engine of the Cayenne S, which was fully developed in Porsche and proves how downsizing does not compromise power and consumption. In the case of the new Cayenne S the average consumption is placed between 9.5 and 9.8 l/100 km (223-229 g/km CO2) minus one liter than the previous V8 engine. The new engine has a maximum power of 420hp and 550Nm of torque. Fitted with the eight-speed automatic transmission Tiptronic S, the Cayenne S accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds (5.4 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono Package) and reaches a top speed of 259 km/h.
