and is recognizable by the extended wheel arches, the large front spoiler and for what is the largest wing ever to be placed on the backside of the model. However, the roof, the front doors and the rear door are shared with the standard Civic.

The style is intimately linked to performance and the Type R concept displays those credentials, rather than hiding them. Many of the aspects of style are functional, rather than being mere aesthetic props, and according to Honda it was demonstrated by the feedback received from track tests conducted in Nürgburgring.
