The 159 S was a car developed based on the 125 SFerrari 125 SItaly, 1947 > present1 photo
. The engine was increased to 1903cc and much focus was paid to the improvement of the aerodynamic coefficient.

The car raced only in three competitions but managed to bring the first international victory to Ferrari, with Raymond Sommer in 1947 at the Turin Grand Prix.
