History

The 250 GT SWB California Spyder was designed by Scaglietti and came to replace the 250 GT California Spyder LWB. The California was actually conceived by US Ferrari importer Luigi Chinetti who thought that this type of car and design would be perfect for his american clients, especially the ones from California.

In 2008 British radio moderator Chris Evans bought the car in auction for an astounding $10,894,900. This same car was actually the 13th to be produced and was previously owned by Hollywood actor James Coburn.
