The 500X can be purchased in 12 different colors and with rims with eight different designs. The rims will be sold with 16, 17 and 18 inches.

The SUV is available in a range of four petrol engines and three diesel. The front-drive versions uses a gasoline 1.6-liter E-torQ of 110hp engine with a manual five-speed gearbox or a 1.4 Turbo MultiAir II 140hp engine with a manual six-speed gearbox or six-speed dual-clutch. In the diesel range there is a 1.3 MultiJet II 135hp version with manual 5-speed gearbox.

In AWD variants the Fiat 500X is equipped with the 2.0 MultiJet II 140hp with a nine-speed automatic transmission, the 1.4 Turbo MultiAir II 170hp and the Tigershark 2.4-liter version with 184hp and a nine-speed automatic transmission.

The Auto mode is the most efficient, the Sport is aimed at a more sporty driving and the All Weather was thought to better adapt to conditions with poor adherence.
