Gen. 2
The Scudo is a medium-sized van built by Fiat since 1995. The normal Scudo van with seats for seven people, is a commonly used vehicle by taxi drivers. It's design is similar to that of the Citroën Jumpy and Peugeot Expert, as the vehicles were developed in a joint venture between Fiat and PSA Peugeot Citroën.
The first Fiat Scudo generation had a loading capacity from 850 to 900 kilograms and load space of 4 cubic metres. It was built with a choice of two diesel engines and one gasoline. Diesel engines were either a 69 PS (51 kW; 68 hp) 1.9 D, or a 109 PS (80 kW; 108 hp) 2.0 JTD and the gasoline engine was 1,6 (1581 cc 58 kW).
The second generation was introduced in 2007. Its looks resemble the new Fiat Ducato, also new engine versions came available. The loading ability ranges from 5 to 7 m3 and the combi version can transport five to nine people. Carrying capacity varies between 1,000 and 1,200 kg.
