Infiniti FX (Japan, 2002-present)

Available since the 2003 model, the Infiniti FX is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV produced Nissan's luxury vehicle brand Infiniti.

Although it is bigger than it, the FX arrived to Infiniti's portfolio as a replacement for the QX4. Based on the FM platform the FX was released at the same time as its competitors, the Porsche Cayenne and Volvo XC90.

For the first generation which went from 2003 up to 2008 the Infiniti FX was offered with two different versions: the FX35 and FX45. While the FX35 was powered by a 3.5-liter 24-valve V6 VQ35DE gasoline engine, the FX45 was fitted with a 4.5-liter 32-valve V8 DOHC VK45DE gasoline engine.

In 2008 Infiniti officially unveiled the second generation FX at the Geneva Motor Show.
