The E-type 3.8 came in two body designs: the OTS (Open Two Seater) and the FHC (Fixed Head Coupe). The car was popular right from its presentation in March of 1961 at the Geneva Motor Show. The 3.8 is the most sought after of all E-type versions. The first 500 cars built had flat floors and external hood latches. Because of their rarity, they are the most valuable.
