Jensen Motors Limited was founded by brothers Alan and Richard Jensen in West Bromwich, West Midlands, U.K, in 1934, when they purchased a small company of body works named W.J. Smiths & Sons. They started by producing customized bodies for other car builders, but soon they embarked in designing their own cars with great success. Their production was diversified, ranging from sports cars and grand saloons to commercial vehicles. Jensen’s were very elegant and comfortable and were the first cars standard fitted with ABS. In 1959 the Company was bought by Norcros Group. Jensen Motors went out of production in 1976. There was a failed attempt to revive the brand in 2001.
