Agera is a two-seater hypercar launched in 2011 to replace the CCX/R. Agera is Swedish for “take action” and is also short for Ageratos, an ancient Greek word that means “ageless”. Agera design is minimalist and based on the previous model. Agera is fitted with a 5.0l engine that Koenigsegg claims to be lightest existing engine. A faster version of Agera, Agera R, runs on biofuel, although it’s possible to use normal petrol on it.
