Lexus LX (Japan, 1996-present)

Sold by Lexus since 1996, the LX is a full-size sport utility vehicle (SUV) which is currently in its third generation. All three have been mostly based on the Toyota Land Cruiser series of SUVs.

In 1996 the first generation LX 450 debuted and became the first entry into the SUV market by Lexus. The second generation, the LX 470 would debut in 1998 and remained in production until 2006. At the 2007 New York Auto Show, Lexus unveiled the third generation of the LX, the 570.
