Toyota Tweets Picture of Hybrid Le Mans Car

At 6:42am Eastern Time, Toyota's Head of PR in the UK Scott Brownlee (ToyotaPR on Twitter) tweeted a picture of the new Toyota Le Mans car. All his tweet said was, "New Toyota Le Mans hybrid race car," with a link to the picture posted above. That is all of the information that we have right now. 

The car looks like a combination of the Toyota GT-One from the late 90s and the Audi R18. 

We previously reported that Toyota would be entering the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2012. The chassis is being developed by Toyota Motorsport GmbH in Cologne, Germany, who ran Toyota's Formula 1 team, and the engine is coming from Japan.
