with its 1.3-liter 97hp engine but an interior upgraded by Aston Martin. But Aston Martin has finally seen that the car does not fit in its lineup and is dropping it.
"Cygnet production is coming to a close.
Production of left-hand drive cars will finish very soon, with production of right-hand drive cars ending later in the year," said Scott Fisher, Aston Martin Product Communications Manager via e-mail.
The reason for the Cygnet being in the Aston Martin range is quite simple. Aston Martin needed a way to lower its average CO2 emissions and increase its average fuel economy. In 2011 Aston Martin decided that it could buy iQs from Toyota, improve the interior and sell them as the Aston Martin Cygnet for £30,995. According to Autocar, there are 143 registered on UK roads.
Aston Martin says that it has not plans to replace the Cygnet with another small car. Instead, it will focus on sports cars and its partnership with AMGAMGGermany, 1966 > present17 models

on new, cleaner engines.
Aston Martin continues to address its responsibilities with regard to environmental concerns and is reducing its average emissions broadly in line with that of the industry as a whole. We will continue to work on these issues as we work to play our part in emissions reduction," said Fisher.
