is ready to launch the VulcanVulcanAston Martin VulcanUnited Kingdom, 2015 > present, a track-only model with a limited production of only 24 units. The new Vulcan will be officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show.

The Design boss of the brand, Marek Reichman, says that the new model, which is named after the plane that used the Gaydon headquarters when it was a RAF base, will serve as an inspiration for the image of the next generation of sports cars from Aston Martin .

The limitation of production to only 24 units is due to the binding of Aston Martin to 24 Hours competition and also because this year the brand is taking part in the 24th film of the James Bond series, "Spectre". The construction of the vehicles will start in the fourth quarter of this year.

The Vulcan will include a driver program that aims to allow customers to take full advantage of their car and that includes technical support and access to exclusive events.

. The chassis is stiffer and lighter so that it can meet FIA's regulations.

The Vulcan will be equipped with a 7.0 liter V12 engine with over 800hp developed by AMR that sends power to the rear wheels through a sequential six-speed Xtrac gearbox derived from the Vantage GTEVantage GTEAston Martin Vantage GTEUnited Kingdom, 2012 > present4 photos

. The Vulcan should reach a top speed of 321km/h.

In terms of dimensions the Vulcan shares the same wheelbase with the One-77, but is 200mm wider (2.2m), 100mm lower and also 150kg lighter (1350kg).

The Vulcan design combines the aerodynamic package with a body sculpted in carbon fiber with visual details that include side titanium bars and rear lights with a bold graphism with 27 individual bars on each side.

The interior of the two-seater was developed thinking in reducing weight. It is driver-focused and designed around the driving experience. The interior details include quality materials such as Alcantara, leather, carbon fiber, aluminum and titanium.

Aston Martin will offer a wide range of customization for the Vulcan, predicting that there won't be two identical cars.

The Vulcan will be an opponent of the newly launched McLaren GTR P1P1 GTRMcLaren P1 GTRUnited Kingdom, 2016 > present and FXX KFXX KFerrari FXX KItaly, 2014 > present which are also offered with driver programs. Each unit will cost 2.46 million euros.
