will be presenting at the Volkswagen Wörthersee festival a clubsport quattro concept of one of its models. The A3 clubsport quattroAudi A3 clubsport quattroGermany, 2014 > present is based on the S3Audi S3 Sedan 2.0 TFSIGermany, 2013 > present9 photos
sedan and has 525hp and will be unveiled at the end of the month in Austria.

Despite being shown as a concept, according to Audi's Development boss, Ulrich Hackenberg, some of the elements in the A3 clubsport quattro should be included in the new RS3 set for launch in 2015.

The A3 clubsport quattro is powered by a highly modified version of the direct injection petrol 2.5-liter engine that has been used in earlier RS3Audi RS 3 SportbackGermany, 2011 > present5 photos
and TT RSAudi TT RS CoupeGermany, 2009 > 20004 photos
versions. To increase the power and torque of the concept, Audi used a larger racing turbocharger, a more efficient intercooler and larger air intake and exhaust. The output increased from the normal 340hp to a staggering 525hp, results in a specific output of 211.7hp/l. Torque also increased to 600Nm in a rev range between 2300 and 6000rpm.

Thanks to this engine, according to Audi, the concept can accelerate to 100km/h in 3.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 310km/h. Power is transmitted to all four wheels through a seven-speed automatic dual-clutch S-Tronic with integral launch control function.

Other changes compared to the standard A3 include a MacPherson strut front and rear multi-link suspension with a 10mm ground clearance reduction. In addition, the vehicle receives firmer springs and dampers and also impressive 21 inch rims.

Based on the look of the S3, the A3 clubsport quattro gets a blue paint, a heavily modified bumper with a brushed aluminium grid frame and high gloss honey comb finish, in addition to larger air intakes, carbon fiber splitter, LED headlamps and wider front fenders.

The concept also gets carbon fiber sills on the doors, smaller aluminum mirrors, wider rear fenders, rear spoiler on the trunk lid and rear bumper with a deeper rear bumper housing two sizeable round chromed tailpipes and a large diffuser. The lid of the fuel tank was also replaced by an aluminum element.
