Audi continues to add Performance versions to its range of models. This time the German brand has injected more power in the five-cylinder 2.5 turbo engine to give the
RS Q3 Performance a total of 367hp.
Compared to the
RS Q3, Audi increased the power by 27hp to a total of 367hp. The torque also increased to 465Nm. The brand states that to achieve this increase in performance, it improved cooling capacity and optimized the fuel pump. Thanks to these changes the RS Q3 Performance is 0.4s faster than the standard version to reach the 100 km/h mark (4.4s), which is only 0.1s slower than the current
BMW M3. The speed is limited to 250km/h but by removing the speed limiter the RS Q3 Performance can reach 270km/h.
Even with the increas in power and torque, Audi reveals surprisingly that the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions remain unchanged. Thus, the RS Q3 Performance has an average consumption of 8.6l/100km and CO2 emissions of 203g/km.
In addition to the changes in the engine, the RS Q3 Performance remains identical to the RS Q3. It uses the same seven-speed S tronic transmission and the quattro all-wheel drive system. For the two versions to be distinguished the RS Q3 Performance gets matte titanium trimming.
The world premiere of the RS Q3 Performance will take place at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
