museum in Ingolstadt has opened a new exhibit looking at the future of the company. The exhibit it split into three sections: future engines, future energies and urban future. It includes the display of an R18 E-Tron QuattroR18 e-tron quattroAudi R18 e-tron quattroGermany, 2012 > present8 photos

The exhibit opened on December 6 and runs through March 17, 2013, that specifically looks at future drive systems and fuels. 

The engine area looks at electric powertrains of the future and displays the Audi E-tron concepte-tron ConceptAudi e-tron ConceptGermany, 2010 > present3 photos
. It also shows future ideas for TDI diesel, TFSI petrol engines and plug-in hybrids.

The second area looks at future fuels including Audi's e-gas project that creates methane by feeding hydrogen to bacteria. Farther in the future, Audis is working on synthetic forms of ethanol and diesel called e-ethanol and e-diesel, respectively.
