Set to be take the market in 2018, the Audi Q8 has been spotted in Scandinavia testing in cold weather conditions. The images published by Autocar reveal for the first time the profile of the new flagship SUV and some of its design details.
Design
The Audi Q8 is camouflaged but in the pictures it is possible to spot some of its design and technologic cues, such as the coupé-like rear roofline and LED headlights and tail-lights. In the eight-corner, single-frame front grille we can also spot a series of vertical chrome strips, just like it had been shown in teaser images released by the make.
Concept being unveiled at NAIAS
Next week at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS),
Audi will be revealing a concept of the Q8. The production version will be launched in 2018 and will be competing with the
BMW X6 and
Range Rover Sport Coupé.

Audi is currently developing seven SUVs, including the Q8. These models will be launched until the end of the decade and include the
Q2,
updated Q3 and
new Q5, a new Q1 and Q4, and the all-electric Q6.
The new Q8 will be built alongside the
Q7 at
Volkswagen's Slovakian plant in Bratislava.
