Bentley is launching in January 2017 the Bentayga Diesel which is the first diesel version of the luxury SUV and in the history of the British brand.
When it reaches the market the Bentayga Diesel will become the fastest and most powerful diesel luxury SUV. It will be powered by the all-new triple-charged, 4.0-litre, 32-valve V8 engine with 435hp and 900Nm of torque. Thanks to it the Diesel version can sprint from 0 to 100km/h in 4.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 270km/h. With a combined consumption of 7.9l/100km and an average range of 1000km the Bentayga Diesel has the lowest CO2 emissions rate of any other Bentley model at 210g/km of CO2. The engine has been combined with a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission.
The Bentayga Diesel features some unique styling additions. A V8 Diesel badge is embedded on the lower front door edge, complemented by a new Bentley ‘twin-quad’ exhaust tailpipe design. Further distinctive external styling cues include a bold, black matrix grille with chrome surround and central bar.
Bentley has fitted the Bentayga Diesel with the Dynamic Ride system, the world’s first electric active roll control technology that utilises a 48V system. This system instantly counteracts lateral rolling forces when cornering and ensures maximum tyre contact to deliver class-leading cabin stability, ride comfort and exceptional handling. It provides variable torsional resistance, allowing the Bentayga to be both dynamically capable and comfortable for all occupants at all times.
