Buick LaCrosse GL Concept Considers More Luxurious LaCrosse

The Buick LaCrosse is in its second generation in the US as the mid-size sedan in Buick's line-up currently it is powered by either GM's 2.4 liter turbocharged Ecotec engine or a 3.6l V6. This year Buick is bringing an even more luxurious concept version of the LaCrosse to the LA Auto Show.

For the Buick LaCrosse GL, Buick engineers added a cabernet red exterior, brushed chrome accents around the grill, door handles and other areas. They also added 20in wheels.

Most of the work has been done on the interior where Buick added high quality, two-tone leather. It also gets a seude headliner and similar chrome accents that are on the exterior.

It is hard to say why this needs to be a concept. There are no mechanical changes over a standard LaCrosse. While the interior would be an expensive option, there is nothing stopping General Motors from actually putting it into production.

I guess GM thinks the car will interfere with some of Cadillac's models, or maybe the brand new Malibu.
