EV will only be available in California, but it has been rated at a class leading 116mpge combined rating and a 87-mile range. The EPA estimates that it will cost $500 in electricity to power the 500e for a year based on driving 15,000 miles a year.
The 500e produces 111hp and takes four hours to charge from a 240v outlet. It is rated 108mpge city and 122mpge highway.
The car also gets a unique two-tone exterior treatment with a white rear spoiler, front air dam and rear air dam. Fiat says that it improve aerodynamics by 13%.

Sales in California will begin in the second quarter of 2013. It has not announced a price for the car yet.
