Caterham has unveiled at this year's Goodwood Revival a new retro-themed version of the Seven sports car, the Seven Sprint.
Based on the entry-level
Seven 160, the Sprint version is powered by the same 82hp three-cylinder Suzuki engine. The diference is that the retro theme has been used on the cars' exterior and interior design.
Its powder-coated grey colour was chosen to make reference to the Series 2 Lotus 7, while the suspension and rollover bar reminds Colin Chapman’s original. The design is completed with flared front wings, a polished exhaust silencer and retro-styled individual rear lights. The main bodywork features retro Caterham branding and Sprint logo.
Inside the Seven Sprint receives a wood-rimmed sports steering wheel and dashboard in wood effect with classic instruments. Another reference to the 60s is the red and yellow sectors on the tachometer. The panels and Muirhead Scottish seat upholstery was hand-stitched. The interior and luggage space are fully carpeted.
Only 60 Seven Sprints will be produced for the European market.
