. The Trax will go on sale first in Mexico and Canada in the fourth quarter of the year.

The Trax holds five passengers with what Chevy claims is class-leading cargo space. From the image that Chevy released, the Trax appears to be a tough-looking, boxy SUV. Chevy is not saying anything about the Trax's engines.

The Trax rides on the same platform as the coming Buick Encore, which is another reason that it will not be sold in the US. Despite the Opel Mokka, the Trax will also be sold in Europe.

“The Trax provides Chevrolet an entry into a growing small SUV segment and delivers the flexibility, great fuel economy and car-like handling that urban explorers around the world require,” said Mary Barra, GMGMGMUnited States of America, 1998 > present8 models
