at the Commercial Vehicle Show in the UK in April. The new truck will be called the Berlingo Electrique.

The Berlingo Electrique is a pure electric commercial vehicle that carries its 22.5kWh lithium-ion batteries under the load floor. It can hold 3.7m³ (131ft³) and a 636kg (1402lbs) payload. Its electric motor produces 67hp (49kW) and 200Nm of torque. Power goes to the front wheels through a single-speed transmission. The truck's total range is 170.6km (106 miles). Charging takes 8.5 hours from a standard outlet or can be charged to 80% in 35 minutes from a special three-phase 380v charger.

Inside, the Berlingo Electrique has specific gauges for energy consumption, braking regeneration and auxiliary consumption, which shows data on energy used by the heating, air conditioning and other power use.

Citroën will also show a six-passenger Dispatch van and a version of the Relay with stop/start.

“With the launch of the new Berlingo Electrique, Citroën is able to offer businesses the widest range of innovative environmental transport solutions. When the Berlingo Electrique goes on UK sale in the second half of the year, Citroën will be able to offer businesses a unique choice of no less than five LCV driveline and fuel choices," said Scott Michael, Citroën’s Head of Commercial Vehicles.
