Citroën Wild Rubis Going Into Production in China as DS X7

has all but confirmed that the Wild RubisDS DS Wild RubisFrance, 2013 > 2013 concept is going into production aimed squarely at China, but it is has not yet confirmed a name. Now, a new report indicated that the production version will be called the DS X7.

The wildly styled SUV will be built in China with Citroën’s joint venture partner Changan on a platform shared with the DS5DS DS5France, 2011 > present37 versions

. It will use the DS5’s Chinese market engines of a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 161hp.

The Wild Rubis concept premiered at the Shanhai Motor Show in April and is said to mark the way Citroën’s DS models will be styled in the future. It did not have a Citroën chevron at the front but a stylized DS instead. The concept used a 1.6-liter turbocharged hybrid four-cylinder with a total of 300hp.
