, but no new models are coming in the near term. Instead, the brand is working on marketing and building brand recognition. 

“The brand is still poorly known. We need to do more advertising, but in a clever and memorable way as our budgets aren’t huge. We have to make an impact and be seen, perhaps in a humorous way as in the UK, but never in way that would impact on the cost of our cars," said Dacia brand director Rafael Treguer. 

Dacia launched six new cars in the last two years, and it is time to let people know about them. 

The only possibility for an added car in the range is a city car, but it would have to be able to fit on the same platform of its other car. 

“It’s a maybe to a small car but it’s too early to say and certainly no decision has been made,” he said.

Treguer says that the brand is not against adding new products and will replace its current models eventually, but it has very strict rules about how to develop the company.

“Of course in the future we will develop new products, but only ever in volume segments. We will never do a niche product," he said.
