Ferrari Begins Charity Auction for Earthquake Relief

has begun its charity auction to help victims of the earthquakes in the Emilia Romagna region. The items for auction include a 599XXFerrari 599XXItaly, 2009 > 20103 photos
, nose cone from a F60, 2008 Ferrari V8 Formula 1 engine and racing items from Fernando Alonso, Felipe Massa and Giancarlo Fisichella.

The 599XX has a starting bid of €1.35 million and comes signed by Ferrari Chairman Luca di Montezemolo, Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa. The nose cone from the 2009 Ferrari F60Ferrari F60Italy, 2009 > 20093 photos
starts at €15,000. The V8 engine comes from a 2008 Ferrari Formula 1 car and has a starting bid of €50,000. The racing items from Fernando Alonso are a helmet, gloves and the sweatsuit he wore during his win at the Malaysian grand prix with starting bids of €15,000, €1,000 and €400 respectively. The Felipe Massa items are a helmet for €15,000, gloves for €1,000 and the sweatsuit he wore during the Monaco Grand Prix for €400. The final item a full racing suit worn by Fisichella for €2,500 and signed by him. 

The auctions end on June 20 at 4:00pm CET.
