"At the end of the year, we’ll also be unveiling the new Enzo, a limited series model and our first ever hybrid car,” said di Montezemolo.

Montezemolo also hinted that Ferrari is working on other new models as well.

"We have a complete new model range brimming with technological innovations, and which deliver significant reductions in fuel consumption and emissions, down by 30 per cent on average,” he said.

Ferrari's revenues were up to €556.1 million, a 13.2% improvement, and it delivered 1,733 cars in the first quarter, a 11.5% improvement. The company has €152 million in cash flow.

Every Ferrari now purchased has some element from Ferrari's personalization service.

Ferrari did not specify sales of individual models but said that the California is its best selling car. The US is Ferrari's strongest market and sales were up a further 16% last quarter. Ferrari sales continue to be solid in the UK and Germany, but sales in Italy have fallen by nearly a third. Sales in Asia and the Middle East were also up.
