Ford launching C-Max facelift

Updated model will debut alongside the S-Max at the Paris Motor Show

. A series of changes intended to approximate it to the recently updated Focus, in which the C-Max is based on. Changes to the design, chassis and engine range were made.

Regarding the design, the main change in the C-Max MPV is in the front of the vehicle that receives a new trapezoidal grille, new headlights and bonnet. Thanks to a new manufacturing process Ford managed to simplify the design of the tailgate. The size of the rear lights has been reduced and are next to a redesigned bumper. The vehicle will be available with new color options and designs of the alloy wheels.

According to the Director of Exterior Design of Ford of Europe, Stefan Lamm, the design changes made ​​in the new C-Max were created to give to the model a more modern look.

Inside the C-Max gets a new center console with fewer buttons and a new 8-inch touch screen with Ford's the infotainment system SYNC 2. Higher quality materials have also been introduced.

The engine range of the refurbished C-Max will include a 1.0-liter Ecoboost with 100 or 125hp and an 1.5-liter Ecoboost with 150 or 180hp. Other novelties include the introduction of 95 and 115hp variants of the 1.5-liter TDCi engine and also the 2.0 TDCi engine with the 150 and 170hp variants.

Regarding the chassis Ford introduced updated suspension and direction systems in order to provide a more dynamic driving.

Changes in the five-seat C-Max model are also reflected in the seven-seater variant Grand C-Max.
