Analyst Yra Harris of Praxis Trading told CNBC that he believes that GM will attempt to buy Tesla sometime in 2014.

Tesla’s factory was originally built by GM in 1962 and was operated as a joint venture between Toyota and GM from 1984 to 2009. Toyota closed the factory in 2010, and Tesla took it over to build vehicles.
