into this year's Mille Miglia classic rally. The drivers include Olympic cyclist Chris Hoy, model David Dandy, Le Mans winner Andy Wallace, 20th Century Fox Chairman Jim Gianopulos, German actress Hannah Herzsprung, shoe designer Salvatore Ferragamo Jr, model Yasmin Le Bon and Michael Quinn, racing driver Alex Buncombe, automotive journalist Chris Harris and grandson of Jaguar Founder Sir William Lyons.
The Mille Miglia is open to cars built between 1927 and 1957. In 1952, Jaguar introduced disc brakes to racing in the C-Type in the race.
"Jaguar's 1952 entry into the Mille Miglia was hugely significant in the evolution of Jaguar products. Seductive design, intelligent performance and technological innovation were features of all Jaguar sports cars in the 1950s and 60s," said Jaguar's regional head for Europe Bernard Kuhnt.
