with styling from comics artist Jim Lee based on Superman.

“As the most recognized Super Hero in the world, Superman is a symbol of strength and integrity, making him the perfect character to join forces with Kia’s first-ever hybrid to create a customized ride powered by a robust and efficient powertrain,” said Michael Sprague, head of marketing at Kia Motors America.

Many people would call the Optima Hybrid Superman ugly, and they might be right. However, Kia is only building one of them; so there is no worry about every seeing it on the road.

The car gets widened fenders for a more muscular appearance, an in-car adjustable suspension, metallic blue color with red trim and a Superman logo on the hood. It also has a unique beveled front grill that is supposed to resemble Superman's belt. Inside, the seats are covered in blue leather with Superman logos on the seats and steering wheel.

Kia has been building one-off show cars based on the Justice League for the last 10 months. It is building 8 cars - one for each member and one for the entire team.
