is launching at the Beijing Motor Show a longwheelbase version of the Range Rover Hybrid, a vehicle designed specifically for the Chinese market.
According to the British brand, the Range Rover Hybrid LWB, the first diesel-electric hybrid to be marketed in China, will offer an unprecedented combination of premium luxury interior space and exceptional performance in terms of fuel consumption and emissions.
The Range Rover Hybrid LWB is equipped with a 3.0-liter engine SDV6 which, combined with a 47hp electric motor, has a combined power of 345hp and 700Nm of torque. In terms of efficiency the Land Rover reveals the hybrid vehicle consumes an average 6.4l/100km and emits 169g/km of CO2.
The hybrid system transmits power to the wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission. Drivers still have the opportunity to choose different modes to maximize driving efficiency or performance. The Range Rover Hybrid LWB can also move in pure electric mode at speeds up to 48km/h, but only in very short distances (up to 1.6km).
The longwheelbase version of the Range Rover Hybrid has a 186mm larger interior space, a feature that often attracts Chinese consumers. At the same time of the launch of the LWB, Land Rover will start selling in China, from May, the standard version of the Range Rover Hybrid.
