2ZR-FE engine tuned to 217hp (220ps) and 181lb-ft (250Nm) with a motorsport-spec engine control module and a six-speed manual transmission. It also gets a new body kit with a front splitter, barge boards, side winglets, rear diffuser, floor extensions and a rear wing. It still weighs in at 924kg (2,037lb). It also gets adjustable racing dampers and springs.
The interior is fitted with a FIA-compliant rollcage, fire extinguisher, racing harness, quick-release steering wheel
The car is eligible for racing worldwide in the Lotus Cup, which has regional series in the UK, Europe, Italy, US, Japan, Thailand and China.
Prices for the Cup R start at £39,125.
The new car follows up on last year’s Exige V6 Cup RLotus Exige V6 Cup RUnited Kingdom, 2013 > 2000 with 361hp and 305lb-ft of torque with an optional sequential transmission that was also made for Lotus Cup racing.
