Mercedes Releases First Video and Info About W03 Formula 1 Car

Mercedes GP will not fully reveal the W03 Formula 1 Car until February 21, but it teased the first info about the car with a video and a few images. There is nothing showing the car's nose yet, so no word if it is platypus-like.  The video shows the drivers suiting up and taking the car on a lap of Silverstone.

During the test on February 16 at Silverstone, the car was allowed to cover 100km, and it was split in half between the two drivers. 

"We learned something with the old car concerning the new tyres and specifically ran with the blown diffuser because the comparative data with the old tyres was gathered under these conditions. We learned a lot and hopefully we can translate what we have learned into the new car," said Norbert Haug. 

The car will be revealed at 8:20am local time at Circuit de Catalunya.

Nico Rosberg will test the car on Wednesday, February 22, and Friday, February 24. Michael Schumacher will test the car on Thursday, February 23.
