that will take on the Dakar Rally from January 5 to 18. The team has a star driver among its team with 11-time Dakar winner Stephane Peterhansel.

The Dakar-prepped Countryman completed a long distance rally through the Tyrolean Alps that was specifically designed to test the car’s all-wheel drive system.

Mini and Peterhansel are hoping to take their third consecutive victory at Dakar this year. The team includes four factory-supported cars and seven privateers.

This year’s route is one of the longest ever. The cars will cover 9,374km, over 1,000km more than last year.
