Only one of the team's trucks finished the rally; it was driven by Matt O'Hare and Philip Gillespie and finished in 91st place. In this year's event 299 of the 449 entered vehicles finished the event.

O'Hare is one of the founding members of Race2Recovery, but one of the team's few uninjured members. His co-driver Gillespie stepped on an IED in Afghanistan and lost his right leg below the knee and other injuries.

Dakar produced two videos featuring some of the highlights of the action from this year for the cars and the bikes. You can check them out below if you missed the event.
