has released the first official images of the next generation PathfinderNissan Pathfinder ConceptJapan, 2012 > present2 photos
on Facebook. The concept was first shown at the North American International Auto Show in January, and the production version mirrors it closely. 

The new Pathfinder is dropping the previous versions body-on-frame construction for a unibody. That should give it a better, more comfortable ride. It uses the same platform as the new AltimaPorsche 911 Gen.6 [991 Series]Germany, 2011 > present110 versions

While Nissan has not made any official announcements yet, it will probably use its ubiquitous 3.5-liter V6 and a CVT transmission. That powertrain is already available in both the new Altima and the JX. 

You can expect the Pathfinder to be a cheaper version of the JX. Both will carry seven passengers and share a platform and drivetrain.
