The Juke Nismo has officially entered production at Nissan's Sunderland factory in the UK. Because it is based on the the standard Juke, it was relatively easy for Nissan to incorporate the production into the Sunderland factory. The Nismo cars are built on the same line.

Nismo was created in 1984 when Nissan merged their factory-supporting and privateer-supporting racing divisions. It began by supporting Nissan's Japanese Formula 3 teams and began supporting touring car racing in 1985. Nissan launched Nismo-branded factory cars in the US in 2002.
