Nissan 370Z Nismo Heading Across 13 Countries for Gumball Rally

and Intersection magazine has teamed to race a custom-painted 370Z NismoNissan 370Z NismoJapan, 2014 > present in the Gumball Rally that will run 3,000 miles (5,000km) from Copenhagen, Denmark, to Monaco from May 18 to May 25. The car that the team will be driving is among the first 2013 Nismo 370Zs in Europe. 

The unique camouflage paint was designed by Intersection, and two of the magazine's contributors will drive the car while reporting on the event on social media. They will also create a daily video for Nismo.tv.

The 2013 Nismo 370Z is powered by a 340hp 3.7-liter V6 with an upgraded suspension and body kit compared to the standard 370Z. It will hit 100km/h in 5.2 seconds. 

The Gumball Rally is meant as a noncompetitive rally run on public roads for high end sports cars and supercars. It is as much about style and showing off as it is about speed. It started in 1999 and was inspired by the film of the same name from 1976. The modern event is known for attracting the flamboyantly rich like muscician Jay Kay and fashion designer Donna Karan. 

"Gumball is a great fit for the 370Z Nismo: it's a road rally which allows thousands of fans to get up close to their dream cars," said Gareth Dunsmore, Nissan Europe General Manager.
