for Nissan Motorsport where they can monitor their driving and learn from the data. The project will also include a small helicopter than can land on the Juke's roof that can analyze the driver's racing line while in flight.
Nissan is engaging plans by letting them give the final name to the car and letting them make suggestions about modifications to the car along the way. It will also use the Skycam helicopter to get a unique view at races during the year, and it plans to release those videos online.
The #Jukeride car will get upgraded sensors and digital equipment that can provide drivers with data about their abilities.
"Over the next three months we're going to transform the Juke, the ultimate compact crossover, into the ultimate technological tool for tracking, analysing and enhancing driving performance," said Nissan Europe head of marketing Gareth Dunsmore.
Herbert is already one of the coaches involved with the GT Academy, and it will take a leading role in this as well. Herbert and 10 apprentices will take suggestions on Twitter about what should be done with the car, and they will be posting regular updates.
"I'm really excited about being involved in this project and helping the Nissan team, along with the apprentices, to create and build something that is genuinely going to improve driving performance," said Herbert.
