Reuters is reporting that owners of the Nissan Leaf have complained to the manufacturer about the vehicle failing to start on occasion.
Nissan has said it is investigating the problem, which is believed to be caused by either a component or programming glitch related to the Leaf’s air-conditioning unit. No recall of the Leaf is planned by Nissan as of yet, however the company will decide whether or not to take further action after determining the exact nature of the fault.
Nissan spokesman Toshitake Inoshita said "When we know the exact cause, we will decide whether to issue a service bulletin, or take other steps."
Inoshita also revealed that the sources of the complaints have emanated from both the United States and Japan, however the exact number of customer grievances is not known. Or at least that’s what they’re telling us.
