Opel Introduces 195hp, 2.0l Biturbo Diesel on Astra GTC

. It is also adding the the 280hp, 2.0l turbo petrol engine with 280hp and 400Nm with a top speed of 250km/h and acceleration to 100km/h in 6 seconds.

The big news though is the Astra GTC coupe with the biturbo diesel that has 195hp and 400Nm of torque. The car comes with Opel's HiPerStrut adjustable dampers, ergonomic seats, panoramic windshield, LED running lights and optional bicycle carrier. The GTC gets body-colored front wings around the Opel logo, where the rest of the cars use chrome. There is also a sharper crease in the front bumper. The top part of the window trim is done in chrome, and the bottoms is black. The standard cars have completely chrome surrounds. The Biturbo cars get Jet Black fabric or leather with red trim and a flat-bottomed steering wheel. It comes standard with 17in wheels with 18in or 19in options.

are also getting refreshed looks similar to the GTC. The four-door sedan already carries the new look. The lower, mesh grill has the same style as the GTC, and the chrome bar above the Opel logo has been changed to be more three-dimensional  with turned up tips. LED running lights are now standard on the Essentia and Enjoy trim levels. The five-door and Sports Tourer also get a slightly changed rear with a chrome strip below the license plate. 

The biturbo diesel is also available on the Sports Tourer and five-door models. These cars get more GTC-inspired touches including the sharper front bumper and modified rear bumper. Biturbo cars also get the available leather seats with red trim from the GTC. 

Opel is also upgrading the 1.4 liter turbocharged petrol engine with an overboost function that temporarily boosts torque to 220Nm for passing. It still has 140hp and when the overboost is not in use, it has 200Nm.
