has just revealed the sportier GT versions of the 308. The 308 GT will be available in hatchback and wagon bodystyles.

The new 308 GT will be available with two engines, a 205hp 1.6-liter THP with Stop&Start system and a manual six-speed gearbox and an 2.0-liter engine BlueHDi with 180hp with a six-speed automatic transmission.

According to Peugeot the THP engine will have an average fuel consumption of 5.6l/100km and average emissions of 130g/km. With 285Nm of torque, this version reaches 100km/h in 7.5 seconds. The diesel version BlueHDi has an average fuel consumption of 4.0l/100km and produces 103g/km.

The 308 GT gets some design modifications that make it easily identifiable. The front of this dynamic version now has the lion on the grille with three horizontal blades on both sides of the logo and LED lighting. The 308 GT have been equipped with top-class headlights clusters composed of 62 LEDs.

The turn signals have also been given a distinctive design in the 308 GT versions. Dynamic sequential operation, from the interior to the exterior, give the car greater technological identity. These elements were put above the new air inlets that provide additional air to the engine.

The 308 GT receives black mirrors that merge with the tinted windows. Vehicles also receive 18 inches diamond wheels fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 3 tires.

The sports version of the 308 also received some updates in the suspension to hand it a more sporty driving capacity. The ground clearance was reduced by 7mm in the front and 10mm on the rear.

The interior of the new 308 GT has also been upgraded and now has red stitching and aluminium details on the pedals and door trim.

Peugeot transfered the "i-cockpit" design to the 308 GT, but it includes new GT graphics in the infotainment system and driver display. The engine sound is more audible inside the cabin.

The 308 GT can be ordered from the end of October. However the official prices have not been revealed yet.
