A luxury car dealer in Abu Dhabi is offering a one-off Pininfarina Hyperion concept that is based on the Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe. Pininfarina built the car in 2008, and it was meant to blend modern design with the 50s Pininfarina berlinettas.
To make the car, Pininfarina had to redesign and lengthen the hood. There are wood veneers on the hood near the windshield as well. The tail falls away starting from the passenger compartment to recall Pininfarina designs. The clock was also a one-off created by Girard-Perregaux and can be removed from the car and worn as a watch. Despite looking like an old design, the body work is carbon fiber because Pininfarina found it easier to mold than using steel. The car is powered by Rolls-Royce's 6.75l V12.
The dealer in Abu Dhabi does not list a price, but it was originally sold for $6 million in 2008.
