Porsche Cayenne GTS Brings V8 Up to 420hp

. Where the recent Porsche Diesel filled the more economical role in the Cayenne lineup, this GTS version fits just below the Turbo. 

Porsche has tuned the V8 from the Cayenne S and tuned it up to 420hp, up 20hp. The engine is also equipped with stop/start and a eight-speed Tiptronic S transmission. Porsche claims fuel economy of 10.7l/100km in the EU cycle. The truck comes with PASM that lowers the car 24mm when driving at high speed to improve aerodynamics. In terms of acceleration, the Cayenne GTS gets to 100km/h in 5.7 seconds and 160km/h in 13.3 seconds with a final top speed of 261km/h. 

The Cayenne GTS will be equipped with the front end of the Cayenne Turbo with high gloss black trim, side skirts and larger fenders. The interior comes standard with leather, Alcantara and eight-way power adjustable front seats. 

The Cayenne GTS will go on sale in July 2012 in Germany at a starting cost of €90,774.
