The 12 Hours of Sebring has come to an end, and Audi can take the top spot in the podium once again. In a slightly surprising performance, the Starworks Motorsports HPD ARX-03b LMP2 car came in third overall. The winning Audi was driven by Dindo Capello, Tom Kristensen and Allan McNish.
The LMP1 class was lead by Audi in first and second. The third car in the class, but the sixth car overall, was the Team Pescarolo Pescarolo Judd. The #1 Audi ended up 16th overall and 6th in class 15 laps off the leader.
This marks Audi's tenth overall win in the history of the race putting them just two away from being tied with Ferrari, and Tom Kristensen is now the driver with the most wins in the race's history with six wins.
The ARX-03b LMP2 car has really proven itself in its introductory race having taken first and second place in class. In fact the cars were third and fourth overall. The first car was the Starworks car, and the second was #055 Level 5 Motorsports car. The new OAK Racing Morgan was third in class.
The GTE-Pro series ended in an amazing way with leader Joey Hand in the #56 BMW M3 being spun at the beginning of the lap, but regaining control to win the class. Second in class was the Corvette Racing Corvette ZR1 and third was the AF Corse 458 Italia.
In GTE-Am, the Fabelmayr-Proton Porsche 911 RSR took first in class, the #70 Larbre Competition Corvette ZR1 was second and and the #50 Larbre Competition Corvette ZR1 was third.
